What is the difference between them?

To achieve good results, an eyelash technician needs a very steady hand, a meticulous eye, good intuition and sense of beauty, and the ability to read the client's body language and wishes.

In the case of classic ones, one eyelash extension is attached to one natural eyelash with a special glue. The material of eyelash extensions is similar in texture and properties to mink hair. Therefore, the extension material is called synthetic mink extensions, which are silky, have a beautiful shine and are durable. The eyelash extensions are attached to the eyelid with two tweezers at a distance of 0.1-0.2 mm to avoid friction, itching or, in extreme cases, swelling in hypersensitive eyes. The closest possible distance is important so that the result is effective and the growth is not so quickly noticeable. In order to achieve such a precise distance from the eyelid, it requires long-term experience, a steady hand and meticulous eye measurement. Extensions come in different lengths, diameters and curvatures. All in order to create the best result for each individual pair of eyes. The growth direction and curvature of natural eyelashes are different. The wide selection of materials makes it possible to create a wide variety of eyelash extension models.

When applying volume eyelash extensions, thinner diameter extensions are used. The technician skillfully makes a so-called eyelash fan from 2-10 ultra-thin extensions, which is applied to one natural eyelash at the correct angle and direction. The eyelash fan should form a sleeve around the natural eyelash. This also ensures maximum durability.

During the application, approximately 180-540 extensions are added to each lash arch, depending on how many volume lashes are in one fan (for comparison, when using the classic technique, the number of lashes added is 90-120 extensions). Maintenance should be done at most every 3 weeks .

The durability of the glue can be ensured by a special glue technique, application speed and pre-treatment. The pre-treatment mentioned above ensures significantly better durability and is very necessary to ensure the cleanliness and health of the eyelashes and eyes. In order for the glue to last, it is necessary to neutralize the acidic pH. A professional technician knows how to achieve this.

Eyelash extensions are available in various materials, such as plastic fibers, synthetic polyester fibers, mink and silk eyelashes. In reality, all eyelashes are synthetic in nature, the only difference is in the top material. PS. Mink eyelashes are not mink hair, but synthetic eyelash hair that has been processed with special technology. Depending on the shape of the eye, eyelid and eyebrow , and the existing material of the eyelashes, a personal eyelash length, curvature and thickness are selected for each client. Mapping the lengths of the extensions is called maping (derived from the English word map). In Estonian, we call it modeling.

Color and decorations – classic eyelash extensions are black (matte, glossy), but there are also colored and ombre-style two-tone, glittery, Swarovski effect eyelashes. Eyeglass wearers can also wear eyelash extensions. In this case, shorter and more curved extensions are more suitable to avoid rubbing against the glasses.

Also suitable eyelash extensions for contact lens wearers . NB! It is recommended to remove the lenses during installation and maintenance. During eyelash extension maintenance, overgrown eyelashes are removed and replaced with new eyelash extensions.
