How to take care of eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions and also so-called volume eyelashes are an extremely convenient way to look spectacular all the time. Applying eyelashes is time-consuming (1.5-2.5 hours for the initial application), and it is recommended to visit an eyelash technician every three weeks to maintain them, but as a bonus, you save time on eye makeup every day and always have "your eyes drawn on your head."
Here are some recommendations for caring for eyelash extensions...
1. Choose your makeup carefully. The less makeup you wear on a daily basis, the better – removing makeup is not good for the eyelash glue anyway. In general, eyelash extensions do not require mascara to work (and it is not recommended), but if for some reason you do decide to wear mascara, do not use waterproof mascara, but use water-based mascara.
I recommend using special cosmetics for eyelash extensions - special mascara and liner. Ask your eyelash technician for more information.
2. Use an oil-free makeup remover. Oil-based makeup removers will melt the eyelash glue, so use makeup removers that are specifically designed for eyelash extensions. These are available in beauty stores specializing in beauty technicians (Tradehouse, Prokosmeetika). Your eyelash technician will help you find the right eyelash mousse for you. Each mousse has its own specific function - to treat, cleanse, prepare for eyelash extension care/installation, remove makeup, etc.
When removing eye makeup, it is best to use eyelash foam and a soft brush instead of cotton pads. Cotton fibers can get stuck in the eyelashes and cause discomfort, and in the worst case, the extensions can get stuck in the cotton fibers and therefore you can accidentally pull them out along with your natural eyelashes!
NB! Creams are also harmful to the adhesive's durability, so be careful when applying cream around the eyes (apply cream on the upper eyelid as far away from the lash line as possible).
3. Keep your eyelashes in order with a brush. Use an eyelash brush to keep your eyelash extensions in order and gently comb them from the bottom up. Brushing your eyelashes keeps them visually in order and stimulates blood circulation and prevents the eyelash root canal from sinking (especially dangerous if the extensions are massive, heavy - mega volume)
4. Do not pull out eyelash extensions for fun! This practice damages your own eyelashes. If you feel any discomfort or a stinging sensation in your eye, contact your eyelash technician immediately. If the situation is unbearable, the technician will always find an appointment for you in exceptional circumstances.
5. Don't rub your eyes. Even after washing and showering, gently pat your face with a towel, avoiding your eyes and eyelashes. If desired, dry your eyelashes with a soft tissue - pushing the eyelash extensions from the bottom up.
6. Do not use an eyelash curler. Mechanical eyelash curlers are not suitable for eyelash extensions as they can damage the adhesive attachment and your own eyelashes.
